
Obituary of Neil Philip Esposito
Neil Philip Esposito, 81, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.
Born in Newark, NJ, Neil later settled in South Plainfield, where he and his wife raised their family and made many cherished memories. Upon retirement, he enjoyed a quieter life in Danielsville, PA.
Neil proudly served in the United States Air Force for four years before beginning a long and dedicated career as a heavy equipment operator with the Operating Engineers Local 825.
A true family man, Neil took great pride in his home, his work, and especially his loved ones. He was known for his warm heart, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed classic westerns, riding his Harley Davidson, and sharing stories that brought laughter to those around him.
Neil was preceded in death by his loving parents, Theresa Fresco and William Esposito, and his sisters Josephine DelMonte, Concetta Fracasso, and Margaret Schmalz.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Donna Hoover Esposito; his sister, Pauline Palatella; his children, Karen Hurst and her husband Chris, and Phillip Esposito; his grandchildren, Randy and his fiancée Brianna, Matthew, and Danielle and her husband Joseph; and his great-grandchildren, Winnie, Wyatt, and Nolan.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at McCriskin–Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ. A funeral service will begin at 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Neil’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
