I was very saddened to learn of Jim's passing. He and I were in the same DEA basic training class together, and Jim always had a big smile to go with his big heart. A very caring and can-do guy, so no surprise on his many accomplishments in and out of DEA. Much love and prayers for Jim and his family.

I remember the good times we shared during our group gatherings. His humor, laugh and good nature helped to make the moments truly memorable. He was indeed a good, kind highly intelligent gentleman. Rest in peace my Brother.

Mr. Agee was undoubtedly one of the greatest men I had the pleasure of working with. My fondest memories are of how he loved jazz music among other genres. We would listen to our favorite tune, "Deacon Blues" by Steely Dan, constantly, and he would sing it as if he were Steely Dan himself... LOL! I will always play "Deacon Blues" in honor of Agee! Mr. Agee's favorite part of the song was, "They call Alabama the Crimson Tide, ...call me Deacon Blues" -Steely Dan
Rest in peace and keep on singing in heaven, my friend. Love you always, bro.

I am so sorry to hear of James' passing. I had the pleasure of hiring on with him with the DEA in Detroit, and going through basic agent training with him. He was one of the nicest, and most upbeat people I have known. He sure did accomplish a lot in his short life, always giving back to his community. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My preacher dad once said during a sermon, "no man is ever safe from memories; no man is ever safe from goodness." And if a picture is worth a thousand words, I will surely continue to hold dear some amazing memories, and reminisce whenever possible of good times spent with my friend and brother [James].

My condolences go out to his entire family as Jimmy was one of the finest Agents I have ever had the honor to work with ! For the five years we worked together in the NYDETF he lived up to his reputation as one of the Best Agents in the office. He was a great guy who was always happy, always smiling and was a hustler at making cases. And his loyalty to the Tigers and Lions did not go unnoticed to the many New York sports fans he was surrounded by. I feel very fortunate to have crossed paths with Jimmy who was one of the nicest guys I have ever met . Rest in Peace
