Obituary of Carol Marie Blair

Piscataway, NJ – Carol Marie Blair, 67, passed away after a brief illness at CareOne at East Brunswick Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Sunday, May 21, 2023.  Born on Hamilton Air Force Base in California to the late Raymond V. and Liselotte (Rieger) Paoli, Carol lived in Germany and Maine before settling to New Jersey, residing in Plainfield and ultimately Piscataway. 

After graduating from Plainfield High School, Carol worked numerous jobs throughout her life, but retired as Office Manager for the Pugliese Spine and Sport located in Westfield.  She loved to read and sing but above all things, family was of utmost importance to her.  She knew how to throw parties, especially for the kids, and never would miss time outdoors or in the pool with family.  No matter what was happening in Carol’s life, she always put others before herself.

Predeceased by her nephew, James Paoli; Carol leaves behind her children; Lise Ann Blair, Nina Marie Blair and Mary Ann Blair (often called her favorite child.)  She also is survived by her siblings; Raymond Paoli (Disa,) Bella Paoli and James Paoli (Leti) as well as her grandchildren; Liselotte Marie Blair Holmes and Raymond Langston Blair-Holmes as well as her children’s father, her husband; Shawn Blair and many nieces and nephews.

A gathering celebrating Carol’s life will be held at McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080 on June 3, 2023 beginning 12pm.  A concluding prayer service will begin at 1:30pm.
