Obituary of Louis F. Licciardone
Louis Licciardone, 59, of South Plainfield passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 surrounded by his family at JFK Medical Center in Edison.
Known by many simply as Lou, he was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield and was an auto mechanic by trade. Lou worked alongside his father for decades as a mechanic at Twin City Service.
Lou enjoyed gardening, watching New York Yankees baseball, New York Giants and all NFL football, but most of all golfing with his friends. Lou loved listening to classic rock, attending concerts with friends & family especially when seeing his favorite band - The Grateful Dead. Lou was a kind and generous man with a soft spot for dogs & cats; having cared for many as his pets during his life.
Louis is survived by his longtime loving companion, Maureen Wilson and her son’s Colin & Brendan Wilson; mother, Carole Licciardone; father, Dominick Licciardone, sisters, Lisa Eggert and her husband Bob, Gina Licciardone all of South Plainfield; brothers, John Licciardone of Newark, Delaware, and Dominick Licciardone of South Plainfield as well as countless extended relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 4–7pm at the McCriskin–Gustafson Home For Funeral 2425 Plainfield Ave. South Plainfield, NJ 07080.
The funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, February 7, at 10am at Sacred Heart RC Church, South Plainfield.
Following mass Louis will be laid to rest at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ.
