Obituary of Kenneth E. Calderoni
Kenneth E. Calderoni, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital In New Brunswick. He was 61.
A proud lifelong resident of South Plainfield, Kenny worked for the Borough South Plainfield Dept. of Public Works for over 30 years prior to his retirement. From that day forward, he lived everyday loving his family and friends, helping others, enjoying his own life.
Although he formally retired, Kenny never stopped working. Every day he did what he loved to do; work right out of the back of his notorious dump truck.
A kind and generous man with a big personality, Kenny had a large happy spirit that always connected with people in a positive manner.
He loved watching sports, keeping up on his fantasy sports, watching professional wrestling as well as listening to classic rock.
Family was his universe and his wife and two children were his most precious gifts. Kenny was a loving husband as well as a proud and caring father who wanted nothing more than for his kids to be loved and happy.
Kenny loved all of his brothers and sisters, was a terrific uncle and a wonderful son-in-law but his happiest day arrived when he became a Pa with the birth of his grandson Kenny John.
He is predeceased by his parents, Janet and Peter A.
Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Barbara; daughter, Kristen Calderoni and son, Kenny (Aiyana); grandson, Kenny John Calderoni; sisters, Elisa Tamburri (John), Cheryl Gentile (Frank) and Margaret Dahl (Frank); brothers, Peter (Karen), Ronald (Joia), Roy, Mark (Allan), Anthony (Tracy) and Christopher (Melissa); uncle, John Pesaniello (Dottie) and mother and father-in-law, Sug and Will Mastroly. Also surviving are 21 nieces and nephews as well as countless extended relatives and dear friends.
Kenny was taken away from us too soon but he lives in our hearts and minds forever!
He would want his family and friends to be happy and enjoy life, help each other out, laugh every day, have a kind word for a stranger and maybe make a new friend.
Kenny will be dearly missed but joyfully remembered
