Obituary for William G. Kuhrt

Piscataway – William “Bill” G. Kuhrt, 71, died Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.

Born and raised in Staten Island, NY, Bill settled to Piscataway in the mid 1980s. An honorable discharged veteran of the United States Army, Bill proudly served our country during the Vietnam War where he earned a Purple Heart, Bronze Star and Campaign Medal.

He was called back to duty during 9/11 as a first responder. The courage Bill exemplified will never be forgotten.

A devout Catholic, Bill was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Mount Virgin in Middlesex. He enjoyed reading, the gym and rides on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle.

Surviving are his wife, Maria Kuhrt of Piscataway; his son, Brian Kuhrt of Howell; two stepchildren, Alyce Delprete and Marc Quinones; brother, John Kuhrt and wife Gayle and three grandchildren, Maggie, Alex and Zander.

He will also be missed by a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, Wounded Warrior Project
