Obituary for John Milo

John  Milo
South Plainfield, NJ – John Milo, 90, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, NY to his late parents Dominic and Mary (Cavero) Milo, John has lived in South Plainfield for the last sixty years.

John was honorably discharged from the United States Navy after faithfully serving his country during World War II. During his time in the military, John was a member of the Navy Seabees. He then went on to work for General Electric as a repair technician. He was known as “Mr. Fix-It” and loved to tinker around and fix anything he could get his hands on. He loved to camp and will be missed by the morning crew at the Park Avenue McDonalds Breakfast Club.

Predeceased by his sister Caroline Doback, John leaves behind his loving family; wife Doris of sixty-three years, son Don and his wife Pamela of Kintnersville, PA, daughter Sharyn Milo of South Plainfield and son Dan and his wife Jennifer of Stewartsville. He will be deeply missed by his three grandchildren; Alexis Fish, Kyle Junge and Danielle Milo and by his sister Martha Delmonico of South Plainfield.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 5pm-7pm in the McCriskin-Gustafson Home for Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Avenue, South Plainfield, NJ 07080. Military Honors will conclude the visitation at 6:45 pm. At the request of the Milo family, cremation will take place privately.
